THE SNUGGLERS

COLLEEN
I am a graduate of SUNY Fredonia where I received a Bachelors Degree in Music Therapy.  Currently, I play the glockenspiel in a band and record solo music on the piano. I have been interested in alternative healing methods for a number of years and have studied Ayurvedic medicine and Kriya Yoga meditation. I am also a Reiki level II practitioner and volunteer my services at labyrinth walks each month.

I believe exchanging energies through physical non-sexual touch can be both healing and rewarding. Throughout my Reiki practice, I have seen firsthand the powerful effects touch can have to relax and heal pain. My philosophy encompasses the idea that the world needs more peace and love, which stems from first loving and accepting our selves. Touch can help nourish these feelings within ourselves while simultaneously connecting and sharing them with others. I believe that healing touch is an important tool for growth and that the world needs more of it.

JACQUELINE
My philosophy is both personal and evidence based. I studied at the University of Rochester where I received a Bachelors Degree in Brain and Cognitive Science. I'm presently completing my Master's Degree in Social Work. I am also an advocate of horticulture therapy and have been dedicated to alternative healing techniques for years.

I am passionate about touch. I've travelled all over the world, interacted with diverse cultures, and noted that Americans distinctly lack non-sexual touch. I understand the role touch plays in our sense of well-being and overall health.

My philosophy embraces the idea that we are all aspects of the same self—to be a healer is to be healed. When we cultivate or nurture something outside ourselves, we're nurturing what's inside as well. Touch can breach the perceived separation and provide us with a healing connection.
